• Membership Luncheon: North Star Project & Community Housing

We welcome Monica Negrila, Skagit County Director of Strategic Initiatives, who will discuss North Star’s collaborative approach to addressing behavioral health and housing challenges in Skagit County.
  
Though North Star is a long-term effort with a big vision – a thriving Skagit County for all – they’re starting by creating safe, stable housing, and providing better care so our neighbors can get off the street and onto a path to self-sufficiency.
 
Established in July 2022 by Skagit County Commissioners and the Mayors of Anacortes, Burlington, Mount Vernon, and Sedro-Woolley, North Star unites government entities, first responders, housing and health providers, and many other community leaders.
  
Together, they’re pooling resources, coordinating services, and connecting fragmented systems to get people the housing and care they need, when they need it. It’s more effective, it costs less and helps creating a thriving Skagit County for all.
