Marilyn Monroe stars as "the Girl" -- a gorgeous model sub-leasing an apartment upstairs from publishing executive Richard Sherman (Tom Ewell). In the midst of a sweltering heat wave, Sherman ships his wife and son off for a vacation. Always faithful, Sherman begins to fantasize about his new neighbor -- but when he invites her to spend some time in his air-conditioned home, does reality have any way to measure up to his imagination?
