• Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) System Temporarily Shuts Down

  • The Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC), the state agency that provides Skagit County’s case management system, has temporarily shut down after officials detected “unauthorized activity” in their network.
The temporary shutdown affects all counties statewide. In Skagit County, there are impacts to the court case management system, court calendars, and workflows.
Until the statewide system is fully restored:

    • Court participants, including judges, lawyers, law enforcement, and individuals representing themselves, will not have access to court case data or court images. This may affect court hearings and delay court decisions.
    • Orders required to be sent to law enforcement such as warrants, quashes, and civil protections will be sent by fax.
    • All court filings, new cases, and payments will be delayed.
AOC is actively working to restore service, but it is anticipated there will be disruptions and slowdowns though the end of this week.
Periodic updates will be shared as they are available on our website at www.skagitcounty.net/Departments/clerk. We appreciate your patience as we navigate this unprecedented issue for Courts and Clerk’s offices across the State of Washington.
